Garden project

In our school we have a project related to the cultivation of an educational garden: we have thus transformed our courtyard, rebuilt the walls by structuring them with a hanging garden, transformed our sandpit into a large pool used for growing strawberries, etc.

Cultivating in school allows the child to “learn by doing”, to develop manual skills, to create a “relationship” with the natural and environmental elements, to observe daily the evolution of life and its development.

The possibility of carrying out this project within our School, has as an added value; the fact that the child can develop the concept of “taking care”, favoring in him a capacity of listening and waiting (… learning to wait), of work in groups, the development of abstraction capacity (from the tomato what will I have?) and the possibility of developing a project linked to transformation.

Children will be able to know and “live” the growth and transformation of medicinal, fruit, aromatic plants … etc.
